At The Ark Academy, our Preschool program is designed to provide your child with a safe, nurturing, and faith-based environment where they can grow and thrive. Learning Through Play
Our curriculum focuses on developing early literacy and foundational number skills to prepare your child for kindergarten and beyond. Through engaging activities, interactive storytelling, and hands-on lessons, students begin recognizing letters, sounds, and sight words while also exploring early math concepts like counting, patterns, and number recognition in a way that is both fun and meaningful.
Montessori-Style, Hands-On, Self-Directed Exploration
We embrace the Montessori approach to early childhood education. In a thoughtfully prepared classroom filled with sensory-rich materials, children choose activities that spark their curiosity, building independence, confidence, and real-world skills at their own pace. Guided gently by our teachers, our students develop a lifelong love of learning in a calm, engaging environment designed to nurture their natural sense of wonder.
Rooted in Christ from the Start
We integrate Biblical truths into our daily routines and play-based learning, helping children understand God’s love and purpose for them in age-appropriate ways. Students engage in daily prayer, weekly chapel and character formation using Biblical values.
Spanish Immersion
Beginning in the two-year-old class, every student is taught Spanish daily. This gives our children a strong foundation in the Spanish language from an early age.
Creative Curriculum
We are currently using the Creative Curriculum, which allows teachers to scaffold each student’s learning. This approach helps us meet children where they are developmentally and then build upon their strengths, ensuring we can track and support their growth over time.
Jewish Traditions & Feasts
In addition to our faith-based foundation, we incorporate teaching on Jewish feasts and traditions, as well as the AlephBet. This helps children grow in their biblical understanding and appreciation of the heritage of our faith.
